In your writing assignment consider the five different theories of myth discussed in Chapter Four. Which of the five theories of myth do you believe is most helpful in understanding the meaning and function of myths in different religions, and why? Illustrate how the theory of myth you argue is most useful could be used to understand and explain the two case studies of the myths considered in the chapter: the Enuma Elish and the Moses story in the Bible.
