There's a lot of thought and figuring that goes into preparing the County Fair. You have made a basic layout for the fair and decided how much space the vendors will have in their area, and have determined how much room you need for parking. Now it is time to finalize all the other spaces that are needed. To do this we will need to know a bit about geometry. Geometry is that part of mathematics that is concerned with things like shape, size, relative position of objects, and the properties of space. We have actually used some of these concepts already.
This module focuses on the basics of geometry. We will focus on practical applications of geometry concepts.

The rides are always a major attraction at the fair. However, they take up lots of space and we have to be concerned not only with how much ground space they take up but also with space into the air. Make a plan for how you will determine how much space you will need for rides. This will include the whole space they require, length, width, and height. We don’t want any rides hitting one another or any overhead wires.
