The faculty of the MPA program recommends that each student’s portfolio include the following items in this order. A two-page reflective essay (single spaced, 12 pt. font) regarding your personal values, attributes and career aspirations (ASPIRATION: To one day own my own group home for troubled youth) (Include a header with relevant information such as name, assignment, date, etc.).

B.

A two-page essay (single spaced, 12 pt. font) on how your MPA experiences have helped you obtain the five NASPAA competencies(which are attached below). Organize the essay according to the competency numbers and titles. The essay should include both an explanation of and an example for each of the five competencies (Include a header with relevant information such as name, assignment, date, etc. and add page numbers).
