First Draft The topic for the website I am creating is going to be landscaping tips and landscaping
backyards in particular. The purpose for the website is to give people a source for information on
how to plan and carry out outdoor projects. The reason I need the site is because I do many
outdoor landscaping projects and this gives me an outlet to share my knowledge and skills. The
reason the visitors need the website is to gather information and ideas for landscaping their
backyards. My target audience for this website would be anybody that owns a home and enjoys
landscaping or do-it-yourself home projects. The general geographic location of the audience
would be anywhere there is a need or want for landscaping. I would estimate 1000 people visit
the website every month. I estimate the average age of a visitor to the site would be 20 to 55
years old. I plan to make the site user-friendly in order to ensure individuals that are not familiar
with computers would be a will to navigate the site easily. I believe the most compelling thing
my audience will think after visiting my site is that they can transform their backyard into a
paradise. Website Design and Development 3
