Why can one not say that correlation proves causation?

You may have heard it said that correlation does not equal causation. Locate an example from the media where a causal link has been made where none may exist. In other words, find an example of correlational research that is being presented with cause and effect conclusions. Be sure to attach the media example or provide a link. What do you notice about the media story that is misleading? Why can one not say that correlation proves causation?
