Healthcare Jobs

Healthcare is the maintenance or the improvement of the health via the diagnosis, treatment and at the same time, prevention of diseases in human beings. The healthcare services are delivered by the healthcare practitioners at all levels. Access to healthcare always varies across countries, groups and at the same time, individuals and influenced by the social and economic conditions and policies of health governing the place. The healthcare has contributed part of the economy of the United States of America and should be viewed in a clear way to ensure that there is the effective usage of the healthcare (Schuster & Zingheim, 2006).

Due to the increased need for the healthcare practitioners, there is increased relating to healthcare in the United States of America, and more specifically in Maryland. However, even though there is the need for greater number of services level jobs in the county, the healthcare industry does not provide full employee benefits such as paid sick leave, paid healthcare and at the same time, retired benefits. This has affected how employees can improve on service delivery to the customers because their needs are not satisfied first. Therefore, there is the need of the healthcare industry to ensure that they can deal with these issues affecting the employees for them to remain loyal and competitive while providing services to the patients.

The federal and the state should come with ways to ensure that the service level jobs employees are paid their benefits such as the sick leave, healthcare, dental care and at the same time, retirement for the employees. All the staff is equal, and there is no need of fulfilling the requirements and benefits of some employees while the needs of other employees are not realized. It is the role of the federal and the state governments to ensure that the rights of all employees are capitalized and be able to practice fairness to all.

Some of the benefits of providing benefits to the employees in the healthcare include. Firstly, the employees will increase their need of satisfying the needs of the patients. When the benefits of the employees are realized, the employees will capitalize on their skills, knowledge, and attitude in offering quality services to the customers or the patients. Additionally, if the benefits of the healthcare employees are realized, they will remain loyal to the healthcare industry, and they will be competitive for the success of the healthcare organizations to be realized.

Besides, they will realize that they are much importance in the industry and there will be limited issues of resistance from changes. Through offering benefits to the healthcare practitioners, it will ensure that there is increased motivation and productivity from the customers and they will be able to plan for their life while in the industry and the times they retire. Therefore, it is much important for the healthcare management to ensure that they can satisfy the benefits of the employees such as retirement and the paid sick leave (Iroju, Soriyan, Gambo & Olaleke, 2013).

However, some of the disadvantages of the federal and the state government providing benefits to the employer include. Firstly, when there is the involvement of the government offering these services to the employees, there is the need of inclusive of tax that will be deducted from their salary, and it may influence or affect their income.

Additionally, when the government gives benefits to the particular employees, there will be the emergence of unions whose role is to negotiate the advantages of the employees. Therefore, it is the role of the federal and the state government on the health industry to be able to determine whether giving benefits to the employees is importance or not.

Additionally, the working hours, their salaries, hiring needs and at the same time, the availability of the personnel remains to be issues that are affecting the healthcare industries. Some salaries they are paid does not relate to the work done. In most of the time, these types of employees work for long hours, and less amount of money is paid for their services. Therefore, there is the need of the management in the health sector to harmonize the salaries and the working hours for all the employees (Buckley & Van Glezen, 2004).

Additionally, the needs of the employees in the organization should dictate the number of individuals who are needed to reduce overworking of the employees. Therefore, it is the role of the department of the healthcare to ensure that there is efficiency in all levels of employees to increase motivation and productivity from the employees.
