This one needs to be in iambic pentameter all the way throughout. I am having trouble!

Running Late – Iambic Pentameter

 

Today I start at a pronounced new school.

I grab my bag and change to new, black pants

and hear the bell, its time to go to a

new French class.

 

Oh no, a book is still inside the room,

of all the things to go and make me mad.

I hope to change my last-minute theme.

 

The room’s unlocked, exposed, too clean.

Oh whereis it? I say to my roommate,

but my friend is still asleep as well.

 

The book, hidden under my oval desk.

And now 9:10, and now I can at last depart

 

I run to class with sweat dripping from me,

my heart races like the beat of a drum,

please let my first lecture start slightly late!

 

Come in, my coach exclaims when I enter—

Oh no, I left my keys under the desk.
