Please respond to the following post in an academic manner ================ Thanks, it looks like you found a great article. I'm glad to see that you were very specific about the variables in the study and how they were measured.
Just FYI, in correlation research, we don't really have an independent and dependent variable. Instead, we have a predictor variable(similar to an independent variable) and a criterion variable (similar to a dependent variable).
When we talk about error in a study, we are talking about sampling error and measurement error and selecting an inappropriate population and so on. (Cause and effect is a conclusion made from the results of the study -- not really a part of the study itself.)
Do you see any evidence of sampling error or measurement error of selection of an inappropriate population in this particular study?
