An Incident

 

The word conflict means a serious disagreement or argument. It has several dimensions but interpersonal conflict always focuses on the interaction between two or more humans. And it often helps people solve the problems lies between them. I have also experienced a conflict with two of my childhood friends who are still best friends and soul mates of mine. We lived in the same area, we shared the same school and same classroom from primary to secondary grades. In short we were together almost all of the day. From dawn to dusk we had fun with each other.

 

It was last month of our last year at school and I was sick so I had a week off from school. Both my friends regularly came to me after school and we talked till evening and after that they go home. They usually pacify me in all senses to gather all the information happened throughout the class that day. The conflict arose when my parents received a phone call from my friends informing my parents that I am sick because I practice a lot of drugs and I have relations with many bad guys of our area who supply me drugs and in return I give them money. My parents were already extremely worried about my health and after receiving this call and that too from my best friends they were shocked and terrified. My parents immediately came to me and asked me about this terrifying issue. I talked to my father first, he asked me about what is going on that if the statements he heard from my friends are really true or not? I told him that believe me I don’t do drugs and I don’t know anything about it. I have no idea about what my friends told you and as your son you should know that I cannot do this. After my father, I talked to my mother, she was weak and shaky looking into my eyes as if she is finding an answer in my eyes. My mother then asked me the same thing and I gave her the same reply. They both believed me but my father was outraged and he told me that if I am lying to him and these allegations are really true then he would take everything from me, my education, my bike, and money that they had been supporting me with. I was really shocked and surprised after hearing these words from my father. That was really a tensed evening for me and I still cannot bear the thought of it that in how much tension and trouble my parents were in due to my friends.

 

I immediately called my friends and told them to meet me, they were laughing as if nothing has happened. I told them the seriousness of the issue. Initially they were reluctant to meet me but then they agreed and came to me the next day. I don’t know why but when I saw my first friend I immediately slapped him and we both start fighting each other. I told them that they should not have do that and they did a very serious mistake. I told them to go to my parents and tell them everything that they were lying and they did this deliberately and I am not into drugs or anything like that. The same evening they went to my parents and told them everything, my parents were very angry on them and after that they told me to end my friendship with them. I told my parents that I will never dishearten my relationship with my friends. I changed my mind and showed my trust towards them but they often came to me and said sorry for their mistake. I forgive them after some time and talked to my parents to forgive them too and allow us to be friends again. They allowed me and we were friends again. They did not do anything like that ever again and learned from their mistake. Having friends will really help us to earn something that is very much precious in life. By doing silly mistakes they will show us the real meaning of life. They are very helpful and kind with me and I am blessed to have such a wonderful friends.
