Question description
Assume that you are in charge of special education for the Miami Dade School District. The district implemented a program which involves “integrating” autistic children with other children in the classroom. You want to compare the results of a special education based on “inclusion (or integration)” with one that is not based on integration approach. You take a random sample of 36 autistic students in integrated classrooms and find that their score on a certain test averages 900 (assume standard deviation of population is 50). This compares to the test score for all autistics children in non-integrated classrooms of 850.
§Test if an autistic child’s performance in an integrated classroom is greater than in non-integrated classroom at the 1 percent of significance level (One-tail test).
