Hello nikblac! Do you think you could help me with this discussion?

So plays and movies are entertaining, but is that it? Do people spend all the time and money to produce drama just for giggles and grins, or tears and screams?  Perhaps sometimes; but usually there is a point to be made. Usually the filmmaker is trying to say something to the audience.

In an earlier section, you read passages and learned key questions and strategies for finding the main idea and theme.Watch the short film with the link below.

Use those key questions and strategies to analyze the message or point of the film. Remember to look at Aristotle's 6 elements of drama. Think about the plot, characters, music, language, and spectacle. Then complete the following:

  1. Write a well-developed paragraph that states the theme in the topic sentence and provides at least 5 elements of proof from the film that support your analysis.

Read the biographical information about Arthur Miller from PBS’s American Masters series. Then, see if you can answer the question that follows.
