Objective 3: Describe the need and benefit for effective written communication with others.

Our devotional for this week discusses in detail the need for awareness of others’ emotions through body language, ways of approach, and facial expression. The online environment makes it more difficult, but if you put your own feelings on the shelf and carefully examine the verbiage used in posts, the amount of times a person has posted, and other such indicators, you can be extremely sensitive to others online as well as in person. It simply takes more time and attention. It is important to be able to see the uniqueness in others, and how to adapt to those circumstances.

Last week we discussed the role of effective communication on relationship building and now we are going to look at written communication.
