Evidence based management can be difficult because there is so much information or ‘evidence’ available with the Internet and technology. Anyone can claim to be a management expert and can find support for their viewpoints regardless of what they are. Research needs to be done well ensuring that only reputable sources are included. Sometimes conducting primary research can be very effective when done properly. Primary research means conducting your own original research. You collect the data and analyze it. This means it can be specific to your organization and therefore more applicable than secondary research that you are applying to your organization.
