work and inequality, Firebaugh says that only when production of income in non-industrial nations increases will a more equal distribution of global income result. Wilson says that lack of unskilled employment in the inner city, coupled with lack of public transportation to unskilled jobs, has devastating consequences on inner city neighborhoods, resulting in perpetual poverty. Just as the movement from agrarian to industrial work affected income production, and equal opportunity employment has implications for both white and minority employees, so has globalization affected employment opportunities for employees both in developed nations and undeveloped nations. If the recommendations of both Firebaugh and Wilson were implemented, what, in your objective opinion, would be the overall long-term advantages and disadvantages to all workers, both in the United States and abroad?
