Project success

Discussion question:

Project success may be defined as the completion of the project within the cost, time, and performance constraints. In your estimation, what other factors may also be considered project success? How do you know? Be sure to use real world experience either in your organization, place of employment, or business. Also, be sure to integrate the reading material and other authoritative sources throughout your initial discussion board response.

student posted answer to above discussion:

The project success is definitely when the project was done on time, within budget and very important the project was able to deliver the positive results the company wanted to the customer. Having being able to meet these 3 prior aspects in any project is important for the life of the business, if the business is not able to deliver within the time the product or the work was offered to the client, the company will lose customers little by little and the company reputation will decrease, finishing the project within the budget that was established is crucial, going over the budget will harm the profits the company was expecting since the beginning of the project.

I believe another factor to consider in order to have a project success is the team assigned to do the project, the people needs to understand the objective of the project and the final goal so that all of them can work together towards the same direction, also the team needs to be balance in relation to what each member can bring to the team qualifications. Another important factor would be having the all the tools necessary to be successful and make them available for the team. In addition, having good organization and clear communication will help to have a successful project.
