Paper Theme: Minority Groups Adaptation to Systemic Racism, Prejudice, and Discrimination

Instructions;

Throughout this semester, we have explored topics explaining the construct of race, whiteness, privilege, ethnic integrations through the context of initial contact, dominance, and systemic and structural inequalities limiting access to Americanization access. In addition, we explore the context of Americanization experiences through various ethnic minority, and majority groups to examine the question we in our initial beginnings, “Does America have a race problem, or a class problem?”

Now, you have this opportunity to pause for one final reflection and look back on the massive, yet exciting readings, and resources guiding your travels through the spectrum of enlightenment on this central question. 

The Assignment Themes:

o  We began with a basic concept for “anti-othering”, which we referenced as “human primacy” – seeing each other as human first with all the rights, and dignity bestowed.

o  A new concept “racial democracy (justice)” is now added, which means that persons of all racial groups draw returns on social resources commensurate with the value they themselves have added to them; moreover, all are recognized in their full humanity as contributors to the social whole
