Andy Warhol:

Andy Warhol:

His taste of drawing was comic, decorative and whimsical and the tone different from the cold impersonal mood of his pop art.

He was an American pop artist who specialized in printing and painting of consumer goods, celebrities and photographed disasters. He pioneered in the composition and technique of emphasized repetition and mechanization of art.

He produced and painted works that frequently verged on abstraction. He also began experimental filming, that was seen as his part of his career major subject after retiring from painting. His subjects were mostly American because, it is noted that he made fascinating iconic images of celebrities like Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe.

Although he was much based in America, he journeyed to Paris to launch his exhibition works and also to explore different mediums of painting and filming and of art. It noteworthy that his painting too and themes of advertisement were primarily illustrated images from printed media and graphic designs.

Other than his fascination with a beautiful face, what do you think is his main purpose was for creating pieces like those of Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe? In other words, what do you think he was conveying to his audiences?
