Strategic Planning Process Law Enforcement
Â
What is a strategic plan as it relates to the future goals and objectives of the organization? Why is it important to have a strategic plan in place for a budgeting process?Â
A strategic plan is a document in an organization that clearly states the organizations goals and ways to achieve the goals. The manager of the organization is obliged with determining the strategy. A strategic plan has two processes which include the implementation and the implementation of the strategy. The strategic plan if implemented adequately the organization would turn out to be among the most highly respected organization in the region. This would also ensure that the organizations would bring about great profits and grow as fast.
Â
Organization’s which have used strategic plans during their financial year have grown globally all around the globe. The organization would also be able to work out their missions and visions if they are able to come up with the best strategic plan of them all. Strategic planning will also help the organization to grow and be able to fit in fast globally. The institution will be a public figure since the other institutions will want to know the secret. Strategic planning majors in the theory of technology and explores in its role (Nig & Hn, 2005).
Â
When the organization implements a good and effective strategic plan, this will the organization to expand and grow globally at an appreciating rate. The world will have an interest in getting involved with the organization which will improve the networking between the organization and the globe (Haines, 2008). A strategic plan in an organization is hence termed as an important process in an organization.
Â
A true leader needs to think tactically and strategically to get ahead, to fight complacency, to motivate others and to persevere. Many great leaders and supervisors have already created a personal strategic plan without realizing what they have done. It is innate to some and can easily be learned by others. Supervisors, subordinates and the police agency can reap great benefits simply by focusing on that is desired and spending some time on how to get there (Gove, 2006).Â
Â
Two of the most vital keys to the success of any police department is recruiting and retaining employees. Experts estimate that in the Tidewater region of Virginia, police agencies spend $70,000 per officer in the process from recruitment to the FTO training period (Stiehm, 2012).
Â
In an period of decreasing public resources, law enforcement agencies ought to look toward strategic planning, and to make sure that agency goals are properly known. Goals are established by senior police management, and need to be worked towards all agency members.
