TO:                  Proximity Media Teams

FROM:            Paul Miers

SUBJECT:      Client Presentation

DATE:            April 6, 2015

For your next assignment, each of you will produce a brief presentation document which can be used to generate slide shows for meetings and conferences attended by our clients. Presentations should focus on a specific issue related to a company or social media and be tailored for one of the following primary audiences

·         owners or managers of profit or non-profit organizations who want to engage millennials;

·         investors who want to know whether to invest in a social media company;

·         professional marketers who need to understand a millennial social media trend;

·         managers who need to understand how to develop social media for millennials users.

You can develop your presentation based on research you have done for your strategy report and other team documents, but you are not limited by your strategy report company or team media. You will, if you wish, be able to turn your client presentation into a formal report.

Schedule for drafts and final copy

Engaging Millennial Females on Pinterest

Your Name,

Proximity Media Analyst

Pinterest Allows Brand Promotion in an Ad-free Environment

Pinterest is a photo-sharing site that allows users to collect images from around the internet and from other users and organize them into categorized boards. The site serves mainly as an inspiration hub for food, fashion, crafts, and décor. It appeals mostly to the older millennial female who is in search of anything from wedding gowns and vacation spots to tonight’s dinner. Businesses are now setting up shop on Pinterest and looking to cash in on this captive audience.

Proximity focus group results show that millennials females prefer shopping through photo-sharing sites like Pinterest over traditional online storefronts. However, the exposure isn’t limited to selling products. Businesses and organizations of all types can use this forum as a way to reach a large audience. The photo pins allow a more interesting form of update that doesn’t take time to read and is less likely to be ignored. The ad-free environment presents a less obnoxious way for businesses to reach their audience. This enables a more positive and engaging response from consumers.
