Instructor notes
Hello everyone,
Just a quick reminder that this week you will complete your first assignment, which is a 3-4-page paper on a sociological theorist of your choice.Â
The paper should have two main parts.
Â
First, you should describe the theory and/or major works associated with your theorists. Part of your grade for this assignment will be that you must use at least two scholarly resources (at least one of which must be found in the Ashford Library) other than the textbook to support your claims. This would be the section of your paper to apply those external resources.
In the second part of the paper I would like you to discuss three reasons why you found this theorist interesting. In other words, why did you choose this theorist as opposed to the others?Â
Â
Please Note:
While it is good to provide some biographical information about your theorist... this is NOT the primary intent of this assignment. Rather, you should 1) describe the theory and major works associated with the theorist and 2) provide 3 reasons why you were drawn to this theorist.Â
