promoting the general welfare

 

Please state and describe what fallacies, if any this below statement has.

 

 

The idea of promoting the general welfare is fimrly planted in our constitution. How, then can you oppose the welfare programs and claim to uphold the constitution? Besides, people who oppose social programs are just wealthy politicians that have never had any need for social programs like this. The last election shows just how much America desires increasing reform in social programs, which is totally at odds with cutting welfare programs.
