Bernice, a full time sales representative for a large winery

Bernice, a full time sales representative for a large winery, told her supervisor she was pregnant yesterday and has today been emailed a letter of resignation for her immediate signature. Bernice did not want to leave her job and had planned to work up until a few weeks before the scheduled date of birth. She does not want to sign the letter but wonders if she does can she make a claim for compensation pursuant to legislation. Advice her.
