Your task is to find and read a brief case (from any state), where a crime victim filed a civil suit against a perpetrator who has been convicted of a crime against said victim (or or has filed a civil suit against a third party such as a business, police department, etc. in relation to the crime). No restitution cases, please. Use your Westlaw access, www.findlaw.com , a Google search or other similar sources to find the case. Paste a link to the civil case decision, and discuss:

  • The civil claim against the perpetrator as alleged by the victim
  • Whether the perpetrator was found liable or not
  • What compensation was ordered, if any
