Samantha and two of her friends have intentionally killed Steven,

Samantha and two of her friends have intentionally killed Steven, their former roommate. They did so because he had repeatedly failed to keep the toilet seat in the âdown position.â They bury Steven in a grave out in some desolate forest. They take great measures to avoid detection. Stevenâs absence is not noticed for several months, and then the police start their investigation. The police do not suspect Samantha or her friends. Indeed, the police believe he has intentionally and voluntarily disappeared, and do not suspect that he may have been the victim of foul play.

About six months after the killing, Samantha starts feeling guilty and consults with you- her attorney, to whom she tells the truth.

A.As her attorney you are obligated to inform the police of the death of Steven, but not the identity of Samantha or her friends.

B.As her attorney, if she is later charged with murder, you will be barred from pleading her not guilty and defending her.

C.As her attorney, you have the obligation to represent Samantha zealously, and can call her to the stand even if she will lie about her conduct.

D.As her attorney, you must keep her statements confidential.  If she is later charged with the crime, you may still defend her by making the prosecution prove the elements of the crimes.

E.None of the above
