Write a paper between 10 and 15 pages in length; the topic is Obergfell v. Hodges, it will also need to be focused around the supreme court decision in that case and also how the fourth amendment was applied by the court, it should also make connections to previous cases surrounding the 4th amendment as well as gay marriage, one case specifically that needs to be included is Brown v. Board of education.Â
- of sufficient analytical depthÂ
- are supported by high quality resources such as statutes, case law and law review articles;Â
and the paper should be focused on the Obergefell case. Of course, you will use Loving and Brown to discuss Obergefell. However, your paper should focus on whether you believe that the majority reached the correct decision or the possible legal effects of this case? Â you want to clearly set forth your thesis, i.e., your position on the case in your introduction, then describe the case's background (this is where you discuss Loving and Brown and other cases dealing with same sex marriage) and then you discuss what the court did in Obergefell. In your reasoning section, you need to discuss your explanation for what you agree or disagree with the majority's position and/or your interpretation on the legal effects of the case. discuss why the dissenters were wrong. Finally, you need to wrap up everything in your conclusion. Present a coherent argument throughout the paper
Â
An outline of how the paper should flow is like this.
