leadership and management are two different animals

leadership and management are two different animals - you can't have successful management without leadership, but you can have leadership without management (depends upon your position and level of authority) - some of you are leaders and maybe we have one or two managers in the class - your requirement is to convey an experience where you were the leader and highlight your success on a particular occasion, or your observation of a poor/excellent application of leadership (leave America's politicians out of this) - from your observations what have you learned? - has your observations enhanced your skills? - possibly mention a person in your career who possessed and applied superb leadership skills - can an organization function without leadership skills throughout, or is it sufficient for leadership to be prevalent only at crucial levels within an organization? - the age old question is whether leadership is inherent or learned, or a combination of both? - is it a talent or an acquired skill? - are  leaders supposed to be popular and well liked?
