Pat selects two Thomas the Tank Engine DVDs (rated G) for a young nephew, and a third entitled “It fed by night!” for himself. Pat approaches the pay station and presents all three DVDs and a $20 note. The assistant passes the two Thomas the Tank Engine DVDs over the bar code reader, but when the assistant sees the title of the 3rd DVD he says that the manager has instructed the shop assistants that this DVD is not to be sold to the public as the manager is of the view that it is essentially evil. The shop assistant says “This one must have been left in the bin by mistake.”

Pat objects and says it is too late – in terms of the offer the copy of “It fed by night” has already been sold to him, and JB Hi Fi cannot stop Pat taking what is now Pat’s DVD out of the shop.
