Find a website relevant to the topic you want to focus your efforts on in
relation to counseling a particular population. For example, your neighbor’s
dog just passed away and their son, who is best friends with your son, has
been very sad. What type of counseling or consoling would be good for a
child who has lost a pet, or what can your son do to help? How about the
grief of an ex? Cher grieved Sonny and he had remarried; that did not stop
her from grieving. What type of counseling or counseling would be
comforting for someone who has lost a person that they are no longer in a
relationship with?
You might already have your population in mind for your course project; feel
free to use that population. Her are few other suggestions: Consoling a group of teens
Educating a group of teens of bereavement
Consoling a community on the loss of a pastor
Consoling a family and discussing organ donation
Consoling a culture over the loss of heritage or important animals
(Alaska and poaching bear claws and other sacred animal parts)
Incorporating counseling with ethnic and cultural sensitivity
Counseling a family who’s child killed in action and body never
retrieved
Consoling a family who’s relative has been murdered
Consoling a person with a terminal illness
Consoling and Counseling a family who’s child has a terminal illness
Counseling a counselor who’s client has died
Counseling a counselor who has experienced tragedy and worked in
