describe your assessment of your journey in becoming a servant leader and your plan for growth areas.

  • Discuss how heroes, hard times, high times, heritage and spiritual occurrences have shaped you as a servant leader.
  • Discuss how your natural gifts either provide natural abilities or limits in your growth in the six values for servant leader: (1) Value People; (2) Develop People; (3) Build Community; (4) Provide Leadership; (5) Share Leadership; and (6) Display Authenticity.
  • Discuss what lack of past experience and areas in your character will be the next challenges for you in growing as a servant leader, as well as specific plans you have over the next two years to grow in these specific areas. Growth plans can include both focus areas during your course of study at USF, proactive selection of mentors, counselors or accountability communities, or initiating projects to gain new experience.
  • The total paper will be evaluated by how well you understand the servant leader concepts; how well you have honestly reflected on your journey and character and how well you have integrated these concepts.

Prepare a poster that depicts your story and the key lessons you have learned. A poster presentation is a graphically based approach to presenting your story. You will incorporate your poster during your oral presentation. Limit the text to about one-fourth of the poster space, and use "visuals" (graphs, photographs, schematics, maps, etc.) to tell your "story." You will have 10 minutes to present the highlights from your poster.
