1.Legal professional has certain ethical duties to uphold and maintain, as is the case in most professions. The most commonly utilized and enforced ethical standards are the American Bar Association’s Model Rules of Professional Conduct (MRPC). Review the list of ethical rules and the “ Terminology” section to familiarize  with the various words and phrases.

Think about a family law firm billboard advertisement that states, “Life is Too Short! Get a Divorce.” Is this advertisement violative of any ethical rules as a legal professional? Is it even violative of advertising laws, rules, and regulations? Note: consider the ABA’s MRPC 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3, the role of the legal professional and the court system in promoting marriage and its value.
