By now I hope we are all in agreement that globalization and technology have changed the business landscape. Milton Friedman famously wrote over 40 years ago that the sole responsibility of business is to create a profit. Jeff Bezos  exemplified the Friedman tenet and then capitalized on it by leveraging the flat world with the market dominance of Amazon. Steve Jobs did the same with Apple, Mark Zuckerberg with Facebook and Larry Page and Sergey Brin with Google. What quote from this week's reading resonates with you and why? What's your take away from the readings and what can do with this information?  As the week unfolds, comment on what you think the business environment looks like in the coming decade for smaller businesses.  Base your answer to these questions on research. How can you apply what we have learned thus far in the class to your current jobs and careers?  The grading rubric introduced last week we'll be used for this assignment as well.
