Job Exploration:Â
This week, you are exploring different career options available in the legal profession. In the Unit 5 Assignment, you will use the information provided about the program and classes, combined with your intended career and academic goals, to reflect on your future endeavors as a student and as a practitioner.
Using online career/employment sites, law-related websites, search for jobs in the legal profession or in a closely related field. After you have explored the job listings, choose two jobs that interest you. (District Attorney & Magistrate)
For each job you selected, complete the Unit 5 Assignment Template with the following information: ( UNIT 5 TEMPLATE ATTACHED)
- List the job title and job description and, if applicable, the area of specialization.
- List the skills needed for the job, taken both from the job description and your own analysis of the job. Be sure to list at least five skills, three of which are specific skills in the legal profession.
- Explain why each of the skills listed in #2 would be needed to succeed in the position you have selected.
- Explain how the skills are related to your professional goals --- ( I WANT TO BECOME A DISTRICT ATTORNEY)
- Discuss why you are interested in the selected jobs and describe the strategy you would use to achieve the skills needed for the jobs you selected. Why will you be successful?Â
You will also use this information for your Final Project. The person that you interview for the Final Project should be working in one of the jobs that you selected.
Note:Â This Assignment will require outside research. Use at least two credible sources beyond the text material. Any outside resources in supporting your task, using proper citations in APA style.
