Pub. Law No. 109-416 —> The Combating Autism Act of 2006 is an Act of the United States Congress that authorizes nearly one billion dollars in expenditures, over five years beginning in 2007, to combat the autism spectrum of disorders of autism, Asperger's, RREtt syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder, and PDD-NOW through screening, education, early intervention, prompt referrals for treatment and services, and research.
Suggested Changes: A way to utilize this act would be if it were extended to something a little more permanent as it ended in 2011 and that appropriations are extended indefinitely.
