The 7-8 page (doublespaced) take home project requires that students select a member of their
family at least one generation removed (parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle...) and trace his
or her job history. Using interviews as well as library and internet resources, students will
present a detailed and nuanced picture of the societal and personal factors that influenced
their family member’s work-related choices, failures, and successes.
