The prefrontal cortex is important for several behaviors, including decision-making, moral judgments, reasoning, inhibition of inappropriate behavior, and long-term planning. Further, deficits in prefrontal cortex function are apparent in numerous psychological disorders or lead to behaviors that are "risk factors" for a psychological disorder.
