As I understand the Equal Pay Act

As I understand the Equal Pay Act, it prohibits sex-based wage discrimination between men and women in the same establishment who perform jobs that require substantially equal skill, effort and responsibility. I have a perfect example, when women are hired as Group Leads or Supervisors and males hired as Managers. It happened to me years ago and its' still happening in some work places. HR should ensure that the job descriptions correctly describes job content and required education and skill levels to preform the job.; titles can be misleading. Class, any thoughts???
