Millennial workers are a key asset to future businesses. They represent an increasing share of the workplace and have a huge impact on a company. It is our responsibility to recruit the best millennial workers. The new millennials attract organizations with their career aspirations, and their knowledge about technology. There are other essentials that attracts organizations to them such as their willingness to learn, move up the corporate ladder quickly and move on if their expectations aren’t met. They tend to operate differently than the Generation X. For example, millennials become bored with rigid corporate structures. Therefore, we must find a way to meet their needs by incorporating new management styles and corporate cultures. To do that, our team needs to put together a plan to enhance the millennial leaders. The ability to retain and recruit millennial talent will be a step in helping an organization become productive and innovative.
Enhancing Millennial Leaders
Millennial employees can be difficult to lead and turn into leaders, but with hands-on training they can develop their skills. Per the article Creating Tomorrow’s Leaders: Leadership Development for Millennials, “…Millennials made it clear that what they want most from their managers isn’t more managerial direction, per se, but more help with their own personal development” (“Creating Tomorrow’s Leaders”). Instead of just telling millennials the step-by-step on how things should be done, millennials want help on how to improve themselves to learn how to do things right. Millennials have a desire of improving themselves and being recognized for their improvement. To develop millennial employees into leaders, managers must help employees develop themselves and take the time to recognize the improvement they have made.
Senior Management Presentation
Before presenting the information, one of the major steps that are paramount is to research thoroughly on the topic and ensure I have understood the key facts. After finding out the information, the second step will be organization the information per the order of importance which will enable me to be able to highlight the important points to the senior managers.
In the presentation, I should start strong and start by stating the clear points and strong findings (Moynihan, & Pandey, 2010). This will capture their attention. I should also be flexible in my presentation such that I can refer to other slides during the presentation. I should also have research on the issue of increasing the number of millennials in the company as they will be future leaders so that I have the supporting data on the strategy that I will use. I should also be able to help them explore the plan that we are going to use on the same which will make them participate and feel part of the team (Moynihan, & Pandey, 2010). In the presentation, I should not only highlight the plan I will use but I should also be realistic and information them on its drawbacks but assure them why it is the best option to use in this kind of plan.
Conclusion
Although these practices are very important, they become irrelevant if management is unwilling or unable to follow through with their implementations. Supervising and developing millennials within an organization has become a vital part of leading a team in today’s workplace. If these millennials are not valued and engaged, then our next-generation of leaders may lose the passion and desire to be a part of the organization.
Whether a manager likes it or not, millennials are a valuable part of today’s business world. If a manager wants his company to produce results in the 21st century, then he needs to understand the strengths and tools that they can bring into the organization and find ways to integrate millennials into the workplace. Then not only the millennials thrive and become successful but the entire company should see growth within the company.

Your company's Vice President of Human Resources has approached your team for assistance in recruiting and developing your organization's future leaders. 60% of your company consists of millennials and your team has been charged with how to successfully increase the number of millennials as leaders in your organization. At this time, senior management is reluctant and disinterested in promoting the millennials to leadership roles. Your team created your plan in Week 2 -Part I of this assignment. Now, you are expected to develop a presentation for your senior leadership that will motivate them to encourage millennials as leaders in your organization.
Re-examine your plan from Part 1 as a team.
