Choose Option 1 below and type up your reactions

Choose Option 1 below and type up your reactions (based on the directions) in 1 to 2 pgs. Please use proper grammar and spelling as this is part of your grade.

Option 1: A Famous Study in Question

In 2012 controversy arose from a failed attempt by researchers to replicate a very famous study performed by other researchers. The original study was published in 1996 and has since become a highly cited, "classic" finding in psychology. The following two links are reports explaining the original study and the recent controversy.

First, read the two links above. For your writing assignment, you should 1) explain the findings of the original study, 2) how the second set of researchers modified the methodology and what they found, and 3) the flaws in the original methodology suggested by the researchers who failed to replicate the findings. After explaining those points, then include a paragraph explaining how this incident relates to the concepts of double-blind and replication. Also, describe your general reaction to this incident, and what you think it says about how we should interpret research findings
