It is often said that we learn a lot about a company

It is often said that we learn a lot about a company from the experience we have during their interviewing process.  As a candidate, the interview process is one of the first opportunities to gain insight into the company, the culture, the people that work there, etc.  You learn this through the interviews, through the walk-through's and tours of the building, facility, etc.

Many companies make the mistake of not giving thought to WHAT the candidate will experience during the interview rounds.  They focus more on assessing/evaluation the candidate and less on the impression the company is making on the candidate.  We can't ignore that candidates are also trying to determine whether they want to work there.  It works both ways.  Employers DO expect you to ask thoughtful questions that show interest in the role, the company, challenges, etc.

Share an interview experience where you felt the company represented themselves well and helped you get real insight into who and what they're about. How did HR's role specifically inform your perspective? Did your perception of the company change once you joined?
