The parameters of the project is as follows: presentation to the class on your project and a six (6) to eight (8) page paper excluding references and appendices. The paper should be done in APA format.

Helpful hint: Pick what troubled 21st century company you want to use before starting
Hi Everyone,
Again, I just wanted to make certain everyone understands expectations on the final class project. As mentioned in the syllabus, I am looking for six to eight page paper (excluding references and appendices) that focuses on your development and design of an effective PM system for a real troubled company. You can basically use what we have learned as a guide on how to put this together (i.e. what is a PM system, what are the best practices, how does it align with strategic goals, training etc. - see syllabus ( by the way, I recommend you discuss company mission/vision and strategic plan so it can help you make the link as part of explaining PM).
For the powerpoint presentation, I recommend 10 to 15 minutes of recording on the slides you put together. The presentation should be from the perspective of an HR executive who is presenting to Sr. and middle management your development and design of the PM system and how it will improve overall company performance. Please make the slides professional in nature, meaning mainly bullet point outline of your key points in a clear and organized manner. You do not need to incorporate any fancy animation. As many of you probably know, slides should not be too detailed and should certainly not include detailed sentences per your word document write up. PPT slides simply summarize your 6 to 8 page paper with broad concepts. You talk to the slides by recording and elaborating on your bullets. Just be careful not to go on tangents when you talk to your slides. The rule of thumb is to discuss what is on the slide. The challenge is always to balance key takeaways on your slides and amount of detail you need to present for each slide.
I usually try to allow for flexibility and sometimes I am can be intentionally vague in expectations when it comes to class projects and other assignments because as many of you may know, in the corporate world, your manager may request, for example a white paper on a particular issue and will not explain exactly what he or she is looking for, it is many times up to you on how you want to put it together that will satisfy what is being asked of you to solve a particular problem. Having said that, I realize there needs to be some guideline.
I hope this helps, if you still feel you need more direction, please feel free to e-mail me and you can also pass by thoughts you have on the project and I will be happy to provide some feedback as you put this together.
These are the parameters i only need the paper done and am very flexible in terms of n..4@gmail.com- for further inquiryÂ
