Think about your personal experience with performance appraisals and respond to the following questions.  You may choose to respond as though you were being appraised or you were conducting an appraisal. 

1. What type of performance appraisal was conducted?

2. What this form of appraisal effective or not?  Why?

3. Explain ways to make performance evaluation more effective.  Do you believe one of your suggestions is of higher priority than others?  Explain.

You may not end up using sources for this assignment.  However, in responding to Question 3, do be sure you support your opinion about ways to improve performance evaluation with rationale based upon knowledge about the appraisal process.  Do not simply state your opinion without presenting rationale (reasons) for why you think what you think.
