This phase of your compensation project deals with individual equity. Use the Information Systems Technician (IST) for this phase. There are 5 individuals in this job. We will identify them as IST1, IST2, IST3, IST4, and IST5. The data for this project is provided below. Your task is to design a system for allocating pay increases. Explain the system. Allocate pay increases. Show the location of these 5 information systems technicians in the pay grade before and after the raise.

Note: x is the midpoint of the grade that the Information Systems Technician positions fall in within your pay system. Performance was rated on a 1 to 5 scale with scale points of 1 – very poor, 3 – average, and 5 – very good.

Report - The report will be evaluated based upon your addressing each of the following criteria:

1.Convert all pay data for your pay grade chart for the position of IST from Phase to monthly salary data.
Â
2.Show your pay grade chart from phase 2. Only show the grade that the IST was located in.
Â
3.Reproduce the table (shown above) with the calculated salaries for all 5 Information Systems Technicians. The pay increase budget is 5% of the monthly salary of all 5 Information Systems Technicians. In other words, add up the 5 salaries and determine what the overall 5% dollar amount is.

4.Devise a system to allocate pay increases, based on material presented in class. Explain your system, justifying it. Your system should take into account performance information. Make sure you use the 5% budget.

5.Graphically show the location of the Information Systems Technicians in the pay grade before and after the increase.

6.Show all computations.

7.Explain how all pay raises were determined. Specifically, explain how you followed your system, and for those positions that might have fallen outside of the range, what actions you took and why.
