Essay about two different families
· Use the questions to interview two different families (Deaf and Hearing)
· Write two-pages essay to describe about the two families. (APA & Double-Spaced)
I have already interviewed with two different families (deaf and hearing). Two persons that I interviewed were Jie Ma (deaf) and Sandy Huang (hearing). I am struggling how to make interview answers into essay (two pages).
Please look interview answers that I have attached
Ten questions to interview with Hearing families:
1. What is your full name? Why did your parent choose this name for you? Sandy Huang. Her parent chose this name for Sandy because she moved to USA. When she was U.S. citizen, her parent decided to pick name “Sandy” for her.
2. Where and when were you born? Did your parent ever share their memories with you about the day you were born? She was born in China and 1987. Yes, when she was born in China, no one helps her. She didn’t go to the hospital due to the policy of one kid in China.
3. How did your parent meet? They met through working.
4. What do you remember about your parent and grandparent? Parent had worked hard for many hours per day. Her parent was poor and got small revenue. Their money is used for animal farm sell. Later, they opened new restaurant. Her grandparent also worked hard and helped parents well. Grandma from mother helped parents a lot and took care of kids.
5. What is your earliest childhood memory? When she was in kendall she kid. Many students cry, but she not.
6. What do you feel the most valuable with your parent? The most valuable with her parent was travelling. They went and brought her to eat dinner.
7. Do you know any stories about the history of your family name, or the origins of your family? Huang is very famous in China. Family is from village.
8. Describe the personality of your family members. Her family members were loud, friendly, and warm.
9. What big world events were the most memorable when you were growing up? 911 crash.
10. What is the religion of your family? Why is it important? Do you plan to pass this on your children? Why or why not? The religion of her family was Buddhism. It is important because she will teach her kids about her religion.
Ten questions to interview with Deaf family:
1. What is your full name? Why did your parent choose this name for you? Jie Ma. The first name of Jie in Chinese means love yourself, no dirty mind, and clean.
2. Where and when were you born? Did your parent ever share their memories with you about the day you were born? Jie Ma was born in China and 1988 in afternoon. Her parent was happy that she was born in hearing, but one day later, she made up in deaf. They were sad that she was deaf.
3. How did your parent meet? They met in same school.
4. What do you remember about your parent and grandparent? She remembered that mother is older than father. The difference of her parent was 6 years. She feels that father is not mature, but mother still loves father. She is proud of her parent.
5. What is your earliest childhood memory? Her personal is strong. Her parents had told her not to do things, but she ignored and did things. Also, she was lazy.
6. What do you feel the most valuable with your parent? She feels that mother and father do the same. Her parent has known education, so that they taught Jie Ma about education experience. Jie Ma studied education good and better thanks to her parents. Also, she learned a lot from her parent, and her life is better.
7. Do you know any stories about the history of your family name, or the origins of your family? No.
8. Describe the personality of your family members. Her family members were friendly, calm, loving to socialize with people, playing, and caring of their family.
9. What big world events were the most memorable when you were growing up? She came to America for studying her major of education. Studying in America really changed her life.
10. What is the religion of your family? Why is it important? Do you plan to pass this on your children? Why or why not? No. She doesn’t plan to pass it because it is up to her children and no force.
