Design a selection system for your organization to hire the most qualified applicants. Include: 1) A brief description of the organization & the job(s) for which you will be selecting. 2) A selection system with multiple hurdles. 3) Details about each hurdle and why they were included. 4) An analysis of the relevant legal issues that your organization must consider when using this selection system. The paper must use at least 3 sources, which can only be books or articles from the library or library’s online databases or google scholar (no Internet web pages are allowed and your textbook does not count toward your 3 sources). Be sure to cite your references throughout your paper and in a works cited section. The paper may be done individually or in groups of up to 3. It is due on February 16 and you will discuss your findings with the class. This assignment is worth 40 points. The paper should be 4 to 5 pages double space.

Hurdle details & justification

Provide details for EACH step in your selection system. Explain what each step requires for the applicants. For example, if you are including an interview, what type of interview will you use? Explain what information you intend to gain from the selection step and how it relates to the job(s) for which you are selecting. 

Justify the steps individually and as a whole system. Explain why the method you selected is the best option (or at least better than alternatives). This is a good area to include relevant research about your selection methods.

Describe the legal issues that apply to your selection system. What are the legal concerns that the organization should consider when hiring for the selected position(s)? How does your selection system address these issues? Be sure to include relevant research, statutes, and/or case law that apply to individual steps and your selection system as a whole.
