Introduction:

First Draft of the Literature Review

During this week, the first draft ofyour literature review is due. This will allow time for your instructor toprovide you with feedback so that you may incorporate this feedback into yournext draft. The next draft of your literature review is due Week 11. Whilewaiting for your instructor to provide you with feedback, continue to searchthe scholarly literature to identify additional relevant resources for yourfinal draft.

Assignment Preparation

  • Carefully read course materials listed below and email your faculty member with any questions.

One assignment is required thisweek.

The first draft of the brief literature review is due. This literaturereview should be from a comprehensive literature search and cover major themesyou have identified in the literature. You should ensure that you areidentifying and giving consideration to the theoretical or conceptualframeworks present in the literature you are reviewing (see Bloomberg &Volpe, 2008; Ridley, 2012). In this paper, you also need to focus onsynthesizing and aggregating the literature, as well as providing a criticalanalysis of the literature from at least 15 scholarly sources (see readingsfrom this week and Ridley, Chapter 8—regarding analysis and synthesis).Integrate or combine your resources to determine what conclusions can be drawnfrom the articles as a group, whereby the focus is on content (conclusions, hypotheses, or premises), rather than the individual authors or articles.Topics in need of additional research may also be discovered while aggregatingyour resources. Finally, ensure your draft adheres with the publicationrequirements of the APA Publication Manual (6th ed.) and that your draft isfree of typographical and grammatical errors. This is a kind reminder that youshould continually proofread your work.

Length: 10-12 pages minimum (this page length requirement does not includethe reference list)

Note: You will be required to submit a second draft of the briefliterature review that you have expanded. Therefore, you will need to includeadditional peer-reviewed sources in Week 11 of this course as part of theSignature Assignment.

Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration ofthe ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts andinsights relating directly to this topic. Your response
