DAY 5 Lessons Learned Paper
The purpose of the assignment is to demonstrate critically reflexive thinking about your development as a scholar, practitioner, and leader throughout the program. The goal is not to summarize course readings or activities, but to describe specific, personal moments of discovery, actions, and behaviors that manifested growth or refinement of your doctoral identity.
Note: You will further expand upon your "lessons learned" in the next ACCESS course, RES/709.
Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper on the lessons you have learned thus far in the program.
Include the following in your paper:
- Analyze your residency journal entries to identify common themes that represent the insights, lessons learned, or questions you wish to pursue.
- Describe two of these essential insights, lessons learned, or questions and explain why they are important. Include possible applications or further explorations of the concepts.
- Explain how you might use what you have learned to contribute to your existing communities and what new communities you might join.
- Describe what improvements you have made in your scholarly writing, critical thinking, and creative thinking skills.
Note: Review the contributions made to your ACCESS Portfolio as you reflect on your learning.
Format your paper according to APA guidelines.
