The Five-Factor Model is based on a conceptual model that describes the personality traits that appear to be the same with all cultures around the world (Matsumoto & Juang , 2003) Researches came up with this model after careful study of different culturals. I believe that this model is an effective representation of the human personality. We all have experienced some form of anxiety or strived for personal achievement. Out of all the subtraits given to describe each major trait of the model we all can relate to one per example.

Even though I agree with the representation of this model, like anything else, you should look at other factors. I believe that there are some dimensions that are missing. I think that an individual's environment and exposure can alter their personality trait. If a person becomes a victim of crime, it could change their view on trust and that individual may become an introvert. In return, if he or she have children, they can begin to shelter their children out of fear with the purpose to protect them.
