Hi! I need help with understanding more in-depth hybridization problems. My homework problem right now is asking me the hybridization of bromine in BrF3Â and it wants a question like sp2Â or sp3d. I got the previous question right about the hybridization of carbon in CO32-Â being sp2Â but this new question I think wants me to deal with the d orbitals as well and I don't know how those fit in.
