Hi I finished writing my journal summary for my psychology class and was wondering if you can give me a feedback on it? thanks!

here is what the proff is looking for THE GOAL OF YOUR ASSIGNMENT:

First (and very briefly), provide the name of the article, the authors names, the name of the scientific journal, its volume number, and the year of publication as listed on the title page of the journal article.  Next in 1 or 2 sentences describe that the goal or aim of your journal summary assignment "is to briefly summarize the main points in the… article entitled…… by ….. (name article name and authors).

 

The goal of your written assignment will be to summarise the main points of the assigned scientific journal article.

 

1)     You will be required to list what the authors of the journal studied or what they specifically investigated, what is the main goal or purpose of their research?  So list what was their rationale for carrying out their research? And then was the main goal or purpose of their research?

 

2)     What basic behavioural and/or experimental techniques were used to study the research problem(s) in question? For example, did the authors of the scientific journal use a particular behavioral testing method or paradigm in their paper to answer a particular research question? Did the researchers infuse drugs into a specific brain region? Did they lesion a brain region? (Briefly describe what they did). What impact did the experimental manipulations have on the behavior of the rats in the study?

3)     What were the main or key findings of the journal article, what type of statistical analysis were mentioned and were the statistical results experimentally significant. In general, your written summary of the journal article must be 1.5 to 2.0 typed pages in length and doubled spaced. Do not exceed the 2.0 page (600 words) limit.

 

GRADING OF YOUR WRITTEN ASSIGNMENTS:

Your grade will be determined by;

1)     How well you covered or listed the goal(s) of the research paper or experiment. How well you covered the topics found in the journal article you are summarising.

2)     How well you comprehended and presented the research information gleaned from the journal article to the reader (i.e. understanding of research and important terms). How well you listed/summarized the behavioral technique used, the type statistics used, and what brain region was studied

3)     How well present the purpose and main findings of the journal you are tasked with summarising.

4)     How well you make use of proper grammar, spelling and writing style throughout your assignment.

5)     How well you summarized the research article and how clear your final concluding remarks were (i.e. what conclusions can you draw, if any?). How well you critically evaluated the research from the scientific journal article you are summarising.
