InSync, Inc. offers Internet-based analyses of investment opportunities. One of its competitors is BetSmart, inc., whose owners are Greg Jones and Cynthia Menses. Jones worked for InSync and was a board member, for 6 years until he quit to form BetSmart. Menses worked for InSync for 7 years until she quit to join BetSmart. While both had access to confidential business data, neither signed a non-compete or nondisclosure agreement.
